Cabling and Bracing
Cabling and bracing is a process done to reduce the likelihood of limb or trunk failure. It is not a guarantee and will not always make a tree safe. Our goal with the installation of Cabling and Bracing systems is to reduce the overall probability of limb failure. Once a defect is present, there is always a higher risk of the tree failing.
Cables and bracing rods are often installed in larger more mature trees with co dominate leaders, large weak or heavy limbs, or cracks and splits in the trunk or limbs. We install our cabling systems to meet ANSI A300 Standards for Supplemental Support Systems.
